Prior to entering the transport industry 15 years ago, Bob held many senior management positions in the retail and IT sectors. This experience, combined with his passion for detail, customer service and customer experience has enabled Bob to pioneer an element of the taxi industry that speaks directly to the customer offering them a service of exceptional quality, reliability and value.
Bob is a holder of the Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management for Passenger Transport.
Sharon Cross, Marketing Director.
With over 17 years experience in the taxi industry, Sharon knows more than most of the importance of providing an excellent customer experience from first point of contact to delivering the customer to their destination.
Responsible for marketing, community relations and outreach programmes, Sharon has her finger on the pulse of the communities that we service and is instrumental in driving the business forward with her enthusiasm and strength of character.
Richard Horman, Operations Director.
Now into his 8th year in the taxi industry, Richard is responsible for the day to day running of the office and team of drivers. Managing six office staff and over 40 drivers, Richard has the unenviable task of orchestrating the logistics, ensuring that his fleet of vehicles are deployed appropriately across the region to meet the demand as required.
His natural ability to effortlessly direct the fleet and support the dispatch operators in their roles ensures a seamless service for the customer.
John Chamberlain, Transport Manager.
With a background in engineering and mechanics, John is responsible for maintaining GCL’s fleet of taxis and PSV vehicles and ensuring they meet and exceed all compliance regulations set by the licensing authority, vehicle standards agency and VOSA.
Working closely with our dedicated fleet mechanic based in Preston, John maintains meticulous records of servicing, maintenance and repair to all vehicles. Conducting regular weekly checks allows John to identify issues in their infancy and arranging repairs immediately therefore maintaining our safety standards and dramatically reducing costs allowing us to pass these savings on to our customers.
