Continuing their commitment to providing a courteous, professional and quality service, GCL Taxis have put a further ten drivers thorough their NVQ Level 2 in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving.
Provided through Blackpool and Fylde College, the NVQ is to soon become a requirement for all private hire and Hackney carriage taxi drivers and covers all aspects of providing a safe, considerate and competent service.
Drivers are examined on a their knowledge and practises relating to the industry, such as performing daily vehicle checks, assisting customers with disabilities, providing safe travel to children and young people and keeping up to date with legislation and compliance laws.
Said GCL Taxis Managing Director, Bob Horman: “We believe in staying at the forefront of our profession and by having our drivers achieve this recognised benchmark of quality not only qualifies their experience, skills, and knowledge, but also provides our valued customers with a service that is second to none.
“This latest course now sees all of our drivers, 36 in total, NVQ qualified. We are also in the process of recruiting new drivers to join our team and our commitment to them is to offer this NVQ course to enable them to begin their new career confidently and competently.”
